Guns 'N' roses - Paradise City
Vision:
We wanted to create something which although interesting and involving to the viewer was simple and easy to film and edit, we think we can achieve this by creating longer shots which transform and engage the viewer throughout, and it should be easy to film these scenes in a moments notice due to their neutral required setting and results in them being filmable anywhere.
Overview of Ideas from brainstorm session;
Prelim:
Time lapse of sky 'paradise'
City Scapes.
Colour Corrections / distorted images
Possible Lip Syncing
Fade in and out
Depictions of different paradise fantasies
--------------------
Location/Props/Etc..
Busy Corridors - Portrayed as (not) paradise in black and white to symbolise a dull
environment and emotion.
Time lapse of city streets, colour corrected, towards sepia and blues and greens to depict the openness and grass in the lyrics.
Shots of sky to show open scenery and 'freedom' as well as a depiction of paradise.
Costume: Plain, Comfortable clothing to maintain the feeling of happiness
Props: None Planned.
Andrew, James, Joe

S2-30:
We feel S2-30 contained a set of skills most often attributable to level 3, and although they has a variety of shot distances and various other notable features comparably to S2-26 they did not have as steady camera shots nor as wide a variety of angles.
S2-26:
We feel this piece maintained throughout, a Level 4 this is because it has a wide range of camera shots, aswell as varying distances and meaningful editing in comparison to the first video.

Goodwins
The Genre we looked at involved pop music and followed some of the characteristics ie. cliche surroundings, miming to the camera and social environments eg. parties.
The relationships between the lyrics and the video were fairly limited. Although there were some emotional match. Although there was no specific record company the college in itself acted as a label and ruled out nudity etc.
